Forensics Social Work
Forensic Social Work is a specialized branch of social work that works closely with the legal system. A forensically trained social worker is one who understands the legal system and the needs of an individual caught up in that system. We offer a unique service to those involved in court cases (drug or or otherwise) by understanding the delicate balance between an individual’s legal needs and coordinating/brokering them with individuals social mental health needs. Oftentimes the two that are at odds and a forensically trained social worker can make all the difference. We specialize in Mitigation and Mediation, offering alternatives to incarceration that both serve the needs of the court and, most importantly, the needs of the individual.
